If the proposed constitutional amendment bill is enacted, any minister (including Chief Ministers and the Prime Minister) held in custody for 30 days will automatically cease to be a minister on the 31st or 32nd day if not removed by the Prime Minister/President.
"Then on the 31st day, because I'm in custody for 30 days, then on the 31st day, prime minister will have to advise the president, remove me. But if he doesn't, then on the next day, I will automatically cease to remain a minister. And this applies to a minister at the union, a minister at the state, a minister in a union territory, chief ministers as well, prime minister as well."
