The extension of NYSE trading hours to 1:30 AM will likely result in more light volume trading, as most retail brokers do not allow trading before 7 AM, and the earlier hours (1:30 AM - 4 AM) are expected to see even less volume than the current 4 AM - 7 AM window.
"and so people are like oh what's that mean what's that mean and to me it doesn't mean a lot number one most retail Brokers don't even allow trading before 7 am. anyways even though currently the market does open at 4 a.m. the actual Brokers have to allow it as well so the Market opens at 4:00 a.m. but most Brokers don't allow trading before 7: a.m. and although we see some light volume moves between 4:00 a.m. and 7: a.m. they're typically on lighter volume because most people can't trade them so what are we going to see between 1:30 a.m. and 4: a.m. more light volume stuff"
