A multi-day build-up of short seller confidence (from last Thursday to this Tuesday) could lead to an unexpected strong short squeeze by Wednesday, driven by forced covering and long buying.
"And if shorts have a couple days of feeling confident, you know, Thursday, Friday last week, and then Monday, maybe Tuesday this week, then they might be feeling great going into Wednesday. And then all of a sudden you get a stock that you wouldn't expect it to, but it just keeps going higher. And they have no choice but to cover. And then that creates double the volume, right? Because now they're covering. That's buying. And then long traders are buying. So that's what's going to fuel that next leg up."
