The Pattern Day Trader (PDT) rule minimum threshold is predicted to change from $25,000 to $2,000 in the US, potentially taking effect within a few months of September 2025.
"There is a proposal for that minimum to be changed to $2,000. And so, the reason I started with $2,000 was to kind of test out and show what it would look like to day trade with 2,000 bucks. Now, it's possible in a few months that that rule will change. it'll take effect and you could do an account I could do a small account challenge here in the US with $2,000."
