Nikita plans to leave her current job in the Grand Rapids nonprofit sector and seek employment in statewide or national nonprofits to achieve a higher salary.
"For me it's going to be not working here, um I'm actually transitioning out of the nonprofit sector here in Grand Rapids in West Michigan specifically and looking for um Statewide and National nonprofits because they pay more."
Nikita predicted that a social work degree would lead to more money in the long run than an English degree, but this proved incorrect.
"I traded my um English degree for a social work degree because I thought it would get me more money in the long run and that really hasn't been the case"
Nikita is transitioning out of the local nonprofit sector in West Michigan to seek higher-paying roles in statewide and national nonprofits.
