If the NYSE extends trading hours to 22 hours per day (1:30 AM to 11:30 PM), it will cause liquidity issues and lead to significant market movements occurring overnight instead of during regular daytime trading hours.
"the New York stock exchanges came out yesterday and they're filing to the SEC uh they want to extend extended out was trading like after I was trading M from 1:30 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. so essentially the market will be open for 22 hours a day... I hate it personally because for one I think it could cause liquidity issues... these moves happen overnight and they don't happen during the day when we're trading I think that could be an issue"
