There is a significant delay between initial effort in wealth building and visible returns, often taking several years before significant progress is observed.
"Year one, you put in all this effort and you see zero return. Year two, you put in a whole bunch of effort and still really no return at all. Year three, you put in more effort and still very little return if anything at all. Year four, you start to see a little bit, but you're questioning yourself. I just put in four years of work and I'm seeing pennies as my result. Year five, you start to see a little bit more. And now you're starting to see, oh, maybe things are starting to pick up. Year six, things are starting to get a little bit better. Year seven, now things are starting to get a little bit better. Year eight, you finally start to see the light now."
