The prediction of companies emerging to offer AI-assisted, automated buying services that anticipate needs and automatically purchase items is largely accurate. While not fully ubiquitous in its most extreme form, the development of 'agentic commerce' and AI-powered shopping assistants capable of anticipating needs, personalizing, and automating steps of the buying process is clearly evident and emerging in the e-commerce landscape.
