Halting the enforcement of environmental regulations by a new US administration would not benefit businesses overall, but would instead provide an advantage to unethical businesses willing to disregard the law.
"I don’t agree that this would do anything to help businesses, as companies still have an obligation to comply with regulation – whether it is being enforced or not – but it would give an advantage to least ethical businesses who are most willing to break the law."
