"As per the new proposal, uh it is expected that we'll be remaining I mean we'll we'll only move to two primary slabs which is 5% and 18%. But they have mentioned that an additional slab that is third slab will be there which will be 40% for luxury or for sin goods. Uh now when I'm saying 12% category will be gone. uh is that going to be a big positive? Answer is yes. Uh whatever are the everyday goods, many of them fall in the 12% category. Uh everyday goods typically FMCG sector, right? So if you're talking about uh stocks something like Britannia, Nestle, Tata consumer, uh if you're talking about big okay all these majority of their FMCG items, packaged foods, dairy products, many of them fall under the 12% category. And as per the expected changes, there's a great possibility that they may fall down to the 5% category."

"if I'm talking about discretionary spending uh something like AC's TV fridge of course we are not going to purchase that daily but maybe once in 2 3 years four years whatever for them as well so currently majority of them be it ACs TV fridges all these majority of them fall into the 28% category and it is expected that they will also shift down to the 18% category"
